SOGO Musicians Out Jammin’ Olympia (MOJO) is the name of our chamber ensemble group. Musicians of any age or skill level are encouraged to participate in this unique program offered by SOGO. Mary Jo Rydholm, MOJO Coordinator, is an accomplished violin player and has dedicated much of her playing career to chamber ensemble playing. She has a vast knowledge and library of chamber music.

SOGO MOJO is a great opportunity for young musicians to play chamber music in small ensembles (duos, trios, quartets) and be coached by a chamber music specialist. Performing in MOJO ensembles develops a musician’s communication skills, musical ownership and technique, and builds self-confidence, furthering the development of well-rounded musicians and students.

Students enrolled in MOJO receive at least 6 hour-long coachings per concert-cycle tailored to each member’s level. The coachings prepare members for performances in the community, including MOJO concerts and external opportunities!

Students can indicate their interest in MOJO at the August Kick-Off event. Parents/guardians, please contact sogo@studentorchestras.org to inquire about MOJO membership.

MOJO tuition is $75 per concert cycle. Scholarships are available; contact sogo@studentorchestras.org for more information.
