LoveOly Summer Fest 23
Saturday, June, 1pm

Downtown Olympia

We are having some fun at LoveOly Summer Fest this Saturday. Join us as we present Conduct Us at 5th Ave & Washington St in downtown Olympia. SOGO and Olymphony Symphony Orchestra musicians will be performing, and you can have an opportunity to conduct an orchestra! Fulfill that dream of yours to stand up in front of an orchestra and wave a baton (we’ll provide you the baton).

The event is free, so we look forward to seeing you there!

May Concert

SOGO Sunday, May 21, 4pm

Washington Center for the Performing Arts | 512 Washington St SE, Olympia

The final concert of Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia’s season! Student violin soloist Maria Aurelio is featured performing a work by Antonín Dvorák, and SOGO will honor our Class of 2023 graduating seniors. Members of the Olympia Symphony Orchestra will be joining us for a side-by-side performance of Mexican composer Arturo Márquez’ Danzón No. 2, made famous in part by the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela and conductor Gustavo Dudamel. Thank you for joining us and supporting SOGO through our 23rd season!

Join SOGO Summer Music. Be ready to explore and experience all kinds of great classes during the 2023 SOGO Summer Music session at Jefferson M.S. There are plenty of class offerings; past Summer Music sessions included Fiddling, Bucket Band, Swap Band, Music Theory, Jazz for All, Summer Orchestra, and much more.

Instrument Petting Zoo

Instrument Petting Zoo April 29, 2-4pm

Kids of all ages are invited to attend the 2023 wild ferocious Instrument Petting Zoo on Saturday, April 29, from 2-4pm at Olympia’s Spring Arts Walk. Stop in at the Washington Center, where zookeepers are on hand to demonstrate and help you learn how to play the string instruments of an orchestra. This is free and open to the public event for those who want to experience some fun during the Olympia Spring Arts Walk.

Please note the date (April 22) was incorrect on the website. The Olympia Spring Arts Walk and Instrument Petting Zoo are held on April 29.
