Summary:
SOGO seeks a diligent, detail-oriented, organized Operations Manager to join our team. This role is vital for developing, implementing, and managing new workflows and databases including membership support and donor development.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the selection and implementation of new databases, systems, and processes to support business workflows based on prioritized needs, including:
- Donor tracking and development system and related processes
- Membership database and associated workflows, including registration of students for auditions, membership tracking, tuition collection, and scholarship tracking
- Coordinate with staff to ensure timeliness, consistency, and accuracy of records.
- Coordinate training of staff on new systems and processes.
- Manage operations as new systems and processes are implemented.
- Work with software vendor support to answer questions and assure effective use of technology.
- Research and maintain awareness of best practices and new ideas for nonprofit administration and donor development.
- Provide strong customer service to the Board, staff, members, supporters, and the greater community.
- Provide staff support at concerts and events.
- Keep information confidential.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Able to work independently in a small multi-tasking office environment, while also working as a team member, identifying and solving problems collaboratively.
- Experience with donor (CRM) databases.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with Canva and Adobe products is helpful.
- Good research skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication in English.
- Strong customer service.
- Passion for young people, music, and education.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Small office and remote/work-from-home.
- Long periods of sitting or standing, computer work, telephone.
- Occasional pick-up/delivery.
- May involve occasional climbing of stairs, lifting, and carrying up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule, Compensation, and Benefits:
- Compensation: $24 per hour, 20 hours per week with the possibility of full time.
- Mid-morning/afternoon in the office/remote.
- Concerts and events, including occasional hours on weeknights and weekends.
- August-June, with possible light duties in July.
- Sick time and Paid Family Leave.
