Winter Concert 2026
March 1, 2026 @ 4:00 pm
| $4 – $30SOGO’s winter concert shines a spotlight on Olympia Symphony Principal Cellist Holly Reeves, a longtime friend of SOGO and an influential mentor to generations of young cellists across the region—many of whom are past or present members of SOGO. Holly joins the Conservatory Orchestra for a movement from Henriëtte Bosman’s Concerto No. 2 for Cello and Orchestra. The program also features Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s spirited Overture to The Song of Hiawatha, the charming Allegro in Waltz by SOGO flutist and composer Karina Bone of Montesano, and Ron Nelson’s lively Savannah River Holiday.
Rounding out the concert, the Philharmonic and Academy Orchestras and Brass Choir will impress with their vibrant interpretations of both timeless favorites and bold contemporary works.
